Win An LED Light Bulb Worth £30.99 With Green Steve
We’ve all gotten used to flicking that innocuous switch on the wall that brings light to our homes but the humble light bulb has changed a great deal since its first incandescent incarnation in the early 19th century.
The latest kid on the block is the LED bulb and today is your chance to win one of these bulbs, which currently cost £30.99, by entering the competition below in partnership with Panasonic UK.
These bulbs can last for around 40,000 hours of usage which is roughly 40 years if used for an average of 2.7 hours per day.
They run at 6.4 watts and represent an energy saving over the equivalent 40w incandescent bulb of 84%.
Essentially then, they are the bulbs of the future and if you want to experience that future then you can enter the competition below in many ways. The more actions you take, the more entries you receive so ensure you complete them all to give yourself the best chance of winning.
To see the different entry options you must either be signed into Facebook or just enter your name and email address – this is not used for anything but to verify your entries.
To follow up on the competition, Panasonic have recently created a savings calculator for those of you who have halogen spotlights in your home. It shows you how much you can save per year (or over a longer period) if you switched to LED spotlights instead. You can visit the calculator by clicking here and then simply specify how many bulbs you would replace and how long they are in use each day. The savings may well surprise you!
